A kitchen is said to be the heart of the home and I couldn’t agree more. A kitchen can sell your home even if the rest of the home is not in the best shape. Unfortunately, it is also typically the most expensive room to renovate in the house. If you are familiar with the ever increasing DIY television shows you probably think that a beautiful kitchen costs at least $50,000. Thankfully, that is not the case. The Ottawa Renovation Group’s average client does not have a limitless budget and we are very familiar with building kitchens for any budget including budgets of under $25,000.

A kitchen is an extremely difficult room to put an average price on. The materials choices are so vast in a kitchen and affect price so much that a 10 x 10 kitchen can cost anywhere from $15,000 to $40,000 depending on finishes. Choosing some of the trends noted below I would estimate that an average kitchen for one of our clients would land in the $30,000 to $ 40,000 range.
